About Alba

I am a Lithuanian artist and writer, working as Alba. I draw from observation, ritual and inner vision.

ALBA Globe

ALBA Globe is the creative world of Lina Simavičiūtė, working as Alba. It brings together intuitive art, writing, photography, film and reflections on being human.

At its heart is ALBA Lab: my ongoing life experiment. Through everyday rituals, observation and creative expression, I explore how experience becomes understanding, and how understanding becomes a choice about how to live.

From this experiment comes the Transparent Happy Soul Formula, an evolving collection of steps, images and questions that I share for others to explore in their own way.

How it began

ALBA Lab grew from a period of personal transformation and a simple morning coffee ritual. I began to notice forms in the grounds left inside the cup. What started as a hobby became a practice of paying attention.

The shapes suggested figures, relationships and stories. I began drawing what I saw, photographing discoveries and writing my interpretations. Ordinary moments became material for understanding my own life.

I call ALBA Lab a life experiment because I am part of what I observe. My questions, decisions, encounters and transformations enter the work. The Transparent Happy Soul Formula emerged through that experience and continues to develop with it.

About my background

I am a Lithuanian artist and writer with a background in medicine, public health and administration, international relations and diplomacy, and law and administration. My experience of supporting people through demanding periods of life also informs the questions I bring to my art.

I am self-taught in drawing. My creative practice brings intuition into conversation with observation and reflection.

Vision: Homo Spiritus

My vision is a universal identity: Homo Spiritus, Soul. A world in which we recognise ourselves and one another as more than roles, qualifications, possessions or circumstances.

I call this vision “Homo Spiritus: You Are Soul.” It expresses my belief in our inner life, human dignity, capacity for love and freedom to become ourselves.

Art is my way of giving this exploration a visible form. Through images, words and shared moments, I invite people to pause, look within and discover their own understanding.

Mission

My mission is to work towards the legal recognition of Homo Spiritus, Soul, as a universal identity. I have chosen art as a universal language, together with the language of science, to communicate, explore and open dialogue about this vision.

Along the way I make art that opens a conversation with the self and with other people. I share what I discover through ALBA Lab so that someone else may find a question, a moment of recognition or the courage to choose their own next step.

I want to bring my drawings, stories and metaphorical cards into a form people can explore: on a wall, in their hands, through the website, or as part of their own reflective ritual.

“Choose yourself” and “Choose forward” are recurring invitations in this work. They connect personal responsibility with an open heart and a wider concern for humanity.

My invitation is: “Don’t follow me. Create your own formula.”

If the story or the work means something to you, a coffee keeps the next drawing coming.
